文章大意&心得
IKEA法國連鎖店在西元2012年時被檢舉出高層管理者使用違法方法取得各員工及求職者的個人信息,進而監視其生活或是私密訊息,影響人數超過數百名。
店經理透露其一方法就是透過非法管道請警員查詢幾個求職者名字是否有在犯罪系統庫被註記過,此為影響是否錄取之考量。
Tina看完這篇文感到有些毛骨悚然,雖然這事件是在2009~ 2012年發生的,今年才開始審判。但完全無法想像在知名連鎖企業工作竟然有可能會被監視!在現今如此注重隱私性的世代裡,這情況是不容許發生的。
不過查詢求職者是否有犯罪經驗這部分,在些許行業中主管或人資在請求職者準備面試資料時是有聽過有要求要去申請良民證來證明無任何犯罪經驗。
Main Idea & My Thoughts
IKEA French chain was exposure that senior managers used illegal way to obtain personal information of employees and job applicants in 2012. And then they monitored victims’ lives or private information, this was affecting more than hundreds of people.
The store manager revealed that one way they used is to ask the police officer to check the full names of several job applicants if it has been registered in the crime system database or not. This is a consideration that affects admission.
Tina felt a little creepy after reading this news. Although this scandal occurred in 2009~2012, the trial just started on March this year. It’s totally unimaginable for me that when we’re working in a well-known chain company, we might be monitored! Fortunately, we pay much attention on privacy in current generation to avoid similar situation happen again.
However, Tina has heard that some supervisors or HR will inquire for a good citizen certificate from job applicants to prove that they have no criminal experience when they interview.
