Main Idea & My Thoughts
Since two years ago, the courts in southwestern France has begun training a Labrador who’s named “LOL”. Because they found that dogs can effectively relax the crime victim’s nervous emotion and mitigate the mood, it make them help tell the victimization process.
In France large cities, the main crimes are mostly drug-related crimes. But in rural towns or villages, domestic violence and sexual abuse are often constituted the criminal cases mainly. This is also why these courts began to bring dogs to accompany victims when they participate in court trials or investigations.
Tina has read some relevant research, they said dogs can read and understand human’s emotions. And dogs can interpret human expressions to know whether we are happy, angry or sad. Research was also found that dogs are empathetic. Regardless of the person is their owner or not, if who is sad and crying, the dog will have comforting actions, such as nuzzling the person with his nose or licking the person.
Therefore, some psychologists also will bring dogs to help people who need counsel when they need to stabilize their emotions. To be honest, Tina was very afraid of dogs when I was a child. Because I was chased by one dog and injured when I fell down. But as long as dogs don’t chase me, I still think they are cute and loyal. Do you guys love dogs?
