文章大意＆心得

除了台灣之外，許多國家也正面臨另一波疫情熱潮。像是本文中的澳洲，從6月26日之後一直處於封鎖狀態，因為Delta變種病毒的肆虐，導致每日確診數激增。

然而民眾對於國家的封鎖政策感到不滿，雖然早在2020年3月時澳洲政府即有限制外國人入境的規定，但是卻也陸續開放了數千個特例入境許可。這舉動讓民眾對此感到恐慌，擔憂這會是一大防疫破口，因此會放大檢視被特許入境人的活動範圍，像是明星或運動員。

看此篇新聞才了解不僅是台灣的疫苗接種率極低，澳洲新南威爾士州的州長表示他們的人口疫苗接種率不及10%，此情況也是疫情蔓延的原因之一。

州長表示若要解除城市封鎖，疫情確診數必須有極大的改善，每日趨於0確診才能稍微放寬限制。不然在這低疫苗接種率的狀況下若是解除禁令，只怕接下來會面臨更慘痛的數據。

台灣現在單日確診數還是2位數，卻已有不少人忍不住想往外跑，實在是很令人擔憂啊！希望政府能盡可能的採購到更多的疫苗，並鼓勵大家施打，才能更有效的控制如今肆虐的變種病毒。

Main Idea & My Thoughts

In addition to Taiwan, many countries are also facing another wave of COVID-19 epidemic. For example, the country, Australia, in today’s news has been in lockdown since June 26. Because of the Delta variant virus, which is led to a surge in the number of daily cases.

However, some Australian are dissatisfied with the country’s border shut policy. Although the Australian government has executed the restricting entry of foreigners regulations as early as March 2020, it also allowed  thousands of special entry permits. This action caused them to panic, worrying that this would be a major breach in epidemic prevention. So residents pay more attention on the activities of those authorized entry people, such as celebrities or athletes.

After reading this news, we can realize that not only Taiwan’s vaccination rate is extremely low. The premier of Australia’s New South Wales stated that their population’s vaccination rate is less than 10% as well, which is also may be one reason for the spread of epidemic.

The premier said if the city’s lockdown wants to be lifted, cases of the epidemic must be greatly improved. Only when they get close to zero per day, they will ease the restrictions. Otherwise, if the ban is lifted under the low vaccination rate, they’re afraid that more tough data will be faced.

The number of COVID-19 cases per day in Taiwan is still double digits, but many people can’t wait to go out.  What a worried situation! I hope our government can purchase as many vaccines as possible and encourage everyone to dose it.
